Q1. What is the difference between “Instant confirmation” button, “On Request” and “Enquire Now”?


Instant confirmation

Properties with the “Instant confirmation” button means you can make your booking immediately and it will be confirmed instantly. Payment is charged automatically and we will instantly send a booking confirmation voucher via email.

On Request

The “On Request” button means your booking is on a request basis. This means that we have to contact the hotel or property where you have booked to check and confirm availability.

If it is available on the dates you have request, we confirm your reservation within 24 hours, charge your credit card and send confirmation voucher via email.

If the accommodation is unavailable we will contact you within 24 hours offering you alternative accommodation. Alternatives will either be in the same hotel (for example, a different room type) and/or a similar hotel in the same area.

Q2. Is my credit card automatically charged at the time of booking?


For “Instant Confirmation” bookings, full payment is charged instantly on your credit card.

For “On Request” bookings your credit card details are processed, and an authorised hold of the funds is placed on your credit card. Payment is charged once we confirm your reservation. If your reservation is unconfirmed, the authorised hold of funds is automatically released within 7 working days (depending on your bank).

Q3. How do I cancel my reservation?


We require all cancellations in writing, therefore you can email us at info@needtoescape.com or click here to go to our cancellation web page and follow the steps to cancel your booking. Your booking will be cancelled within 24 hours, a cancellation email will be sent to you and (if applicable) moneys will be reimbursed to you as soon as possible. Depending on the hotel, or wholesaler we use, refunds may take up to 8 weeks.

Please be advised cancellation fees apply and differ for each property. To view cancellation policies, please refer to the individual hotel page on the website.

Q4. How do I amend my reservation?


You can contact us on 1300 551 669 or send us an email at info@needtoescape.com or click here to go to our amendments web page and follow the steps to amend your booking. outlining the details of your amendments. Your booking will be amended within 24 hours, we may need to contact you if additional charges apply or if moneys need to be reimbursed.

Please be advised that any amendment to your booking is subject to the hotel’s availability/approval.

Q5.How do I know if you received my booking?


As soon as your booking has been placed online, you will receive an automatic email of receipt of your booking. If the booking was an Instant Confirmation, you will automatically receive a “Booking Confirmation Voucher” and if the booking is “On Request” you will receive a “Booking Request Voucher” via email, then once the booking is confirmed, we will send a “Booking Confirmation Voucher.”

Q6.What methods of payment are acceptable?


For orders placed over the telephone and online, we accept all major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

Q7.Are my details secure when ordering online?


Our site, www.needtoescape.com, is secured using a Thwarte Digital Certificate (part of the VeriSign Group). While being transmitted over the Internet, your credit card details are protected using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. This means that if any other user intercepts the communication they will only be able to view an encrypted form. This makes it almost impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorised party, as long as your browser supports the use of encrypted data transmissions. You will know you are in a secure environment when booking on www.needtoescape.com by the appearance of a security notice when you enter a secure page (depending on browser security settings). As well, a secure icon will appear on your browser. For example, on Microsoft Internet Explorer, it is a lock icon and for Netscape, it is a key icon.

A secure site can also be identified by the site’s address. For example, when you go to our online booking page, you will notice that the address starts with 'https://', while pages that are not secure are void of the ‘s’ 'http://'.
